You know the memories of good food and close family. The first thought at the front of my mind is all of the joy. It isn't until later that I remember the pain of preperations to be made and family members to be avoided.
The pain of too much to do with too high of expectation always leads to overbearing stress. And what comes of stress? High blood pressure, stomach problems and headaches. That's for me anyway. How do you respond? The good news is that I have 4 easy ways to make it through.
1. Don't procrastinate. If you want stress, just wait until the last minute to do all of the normal holiday tasks that we all face. In today's world you can plan in advace, whether it is shopping online or preparing your meal in advance. That will leave more time for you to do the things you really want to do.
2. Do Follow The Crowd. Look around, if everyone else is doing anything at a certain time... don't! {} Maybe the morning is better or the evening, just not with the crowd. And bonus number two to missing the crowd, ususally you get better service and pay less. So, no lines and more money. That is the recipe for less stress, don't you agree?
3. Life isn't all roses. Sometimes things don't work out. Life is still going to happen during the holidays, whether it's wheather, family or some thing else. Perfect is the one thing that will not. Be okay with that.
4. Just Be You. Let you style shine forth. You are who you are whether your family like it or not. Your kids will make mistakes with their grandparents.. it's okay.
Holiday stress does not have to wreak your special time. These easy to follow tips will make the holidays more like you wish they could be and less like they have been in the past.
